Volunteering is critical to the success of the season.
We are heavily dependent on volunteers to run our season.
Volunteer commitments are tracked by family via a point system that awards points based on the type of role that is being filled and the time commitment associated with it. While all roles are essential, some are more demanding and technical than others; training may be required and experience may be preferred for the more "valuable" roles. Some positions are "whole meet" commitments because continuity is essential while others may be split into "half meet" commitments.
Each family is expected to "earn" 8 volunteer points throughout the season. You will initially sign up for at least 4 of these points when you register and the rest will be signed up for as you go.
Detailed descriptions of each of the volunteer roles available can be found here.
Volunteers do not need to be parents, but they must be at least 16 years old, responsible, and physically capable of handling the requirements of the role.
Some of the volunteer roles require the use of your cell phone so you will be expected to update your device to meet the software requirements and bring your device fully charged to the meet.
If you are not able to meet the volunteer expectations, your child may be removed from participation in meets. If you have questions, concerns, or extenuating circumstances that may affect your ability to meet these expectations, please email [email protected].
